I’m delighted to offer a warm welcome to Trimdon Hill School, a nurturing and exciting environment that offers opportunities to young people with a diagnosis of autism and who may also have a range of complex learning needs, communication and sensory difficulties. The environment and curriculum are designed to provide a holistic approach to education where the focus is on developing young people’s confidence and helps young people to make sense of the world around them.
With 22 years of experience of working in education serving the young people and families of County Durham and the surrounding areas, I am passionate about building a school which engages and supports the whole child and enables them and their families to access high quality education that allows young people to make progress against their individual start points and breaks down barriers to learning.
